Re: New home ADSL

The downstream speed looks really poor for your line attenuation. According to the Kitz Speed Calculator your downstream on ADSL Max should be 7424 and on ADSL 2+ it should be 11168 - you're only showing 6001.
It's impossible to tell which you are on as your upstream shows as 439, however I suspect you are on a capped ADSL2+ with perhaps a banded profile.
Can you run the BT Wholesale speedtest (including "Further diagnostics") and paste the result in to your reply?

Re: New home ADSL

The Performance Tester is currently unable to run a speed test for your broadband connection. Please try again shortly, however if this problem persists, raise the issue with your service provider.

Re: New home ADSL

Keep trying the Further Diagnostics on the BTW test - if you can get a result it may help pinpoint the issue.

Because after how ever many years it is since 21CN was launched Plusnet have still not fixed their system to order new connections uncapped. You need to ask them to uncap it.

Re: New home ADSL

Ah, you said that whilst i was on hold Smiley
Is it basically a product change then?
So you supply initial orders on a capped product then have to req a change with BTOR to change it?

Re: New home ADSL

We can request that but it'll have to wait until Monday I'm afraid - we can't do it while there's an order going through.

No worries, that's why it's worth waiting to see if we reply first Wink

That's right yes, at present the default upstream for an ADSL2+ connection with us is 448kbps but we're happy to uncap that upon request.

Yep, happy to do that looking at how you're line is performing. That should take effect within the next couple of hours.
Adam
D'oh looks like myself and Matt were ready to post at the same time, I've let him know that we can actually submit an SNR reset when an order is pending Wink
