Re: New fibre speed

Hi devil5882,
Is this a wired or wireless result? If you run a speed test directly from your modem we can rule out any issues with the router. There's a guide on our library on how to do that for Windows Vista/Windows 7 or Windows XP.

Re: New fibre speed

Can I ask you to run a speed test here http://www.speedtester.bt.com/ using the beta tester (bottom right of the 2 options)

Re: New fibre speed

Thanks for that, I just wanted to see if there was any major disparity between the speeds.
I'm going to advise that you raise a fault at http://faults.plus.net

I would suggest doing a wired test first as Wireless speeds can change depending on positions and background electrical noise. My fixed location Desktop flip between 48 to 54mbps and my fixed Internet Radio will flip between 1 and 5mbps

Re: New fibre speed

I would suggest running the speed tests direct from the modem before pursuing a fault Smiley

Re: New fibre speed

Have you run it direct from the modem as Jojo asked and why not try another speed tester such as this one http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html?utm_source=mainsite&utm_medium=navigation&utm_campaign=... to rule out the tester
