New fibre router - accessible via internet?

We've just had FTTC installed - really happy with it and I'm impressed with the new router (I was worried that a standard ISP router wouldn't be as good as my Fritzbox).
One thing my fritzbox allowed me to do was to access the web admin panel from https://my.ip.address - is this doable with the new router? I've not found a config that allows me to do this. Just wondering if it is tucked away somewhere.
