New fibre install, downloads slower than ADSL

Hi everyone. I've just changed over to PlusNet fttc and the engineer came and fitted it this morning. However the download speeds are lower than they were with ADSL at only 3.5mb. Upload is about where it should be and the ping is not too bad. I've attached a screenshot from the BT wholesale speedtester. The cabinet is about 100m or less from my house, though I don't know if the cable follows a longer route. Is this worth raising a ticket about, or is it likely to sort itself out over the next few days?

Almost certainly the Plusnet profile needs updating https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed
If so should be picked up here
Regarding double post - that is down to the rubbish Forum software when you add an image

Your Speed Profile is set correctly on our side - are you still getting low speeds?

Yes still the same. I tried turning off the BT router and back on earlier in case it just needed to resync, but no difference.

We're awaiting for our suppliers to clear the order off from their systems - it's still showing ADSL on their systems at the moment, but it shouldn't be too long before this all gets closed off and your speeds are pushed up. Please allow up to 4 hours for this to complete.

Hello - sorry to hijack this thread.
I'm having exactly the same problem - had fibre engineer install today at about 1.30 p.m.
Getting download speeds of between 6 & 12 mbs (same as I was getting on standard broadband), upload speed 17.5mbs.

Mine went up to a good 38mb about 4pm this afternoon, so it was just as Chris said earlier. Hopefully yours will follow suit steviewo76. I'm looking forwards to see where mine will settle down to over the next couple of weeks.

Your order has completed, steviewo76 so your speeds should have increased. How are they looking now?

Thanks Linn - I'm at work at the moment, but my wife has just checked it for me and she says it is 11.21 D/L & 13.48 U/L.
This is not through Wi-Fi, is is ethernet.

If your wife can restart the Plusnet Router, and run a further speed test, the speeds should be much improved.
