New customer - No ATM activity detected on yoir DSL line.

Hi, I received my router 5 days ago and set it up as instructed. I have a green light by broadband but a red light by internet.  When connected to my router I get the following message:
ATM - No ATM activity detected on your DSL line.
PPP - Authentication failed
Anyone help?
