Is this for fibre/ADSL? Do you know the model number? Any reason you want to replace your existing router?

The model number isTL WR841N 300mps it is not fibre the reason for change is that on average my router disconects on average about a couple of times in a month although it reconects very quickly.I might be over cautious but I like to have another router if this one is on it's way out.

This is a fibre router - it will not work with ADSL.
I think the thing to do is figure out why you are getting disconnections as it is unlikely changing a router will help.

It would be unlikely (also given you have had problems with your line before). Routers either tend to work or not work and it's pretty rare to have a faulty one.
