New Plusnet Broadband Customer - speed issues when connecting via iphone.

Hi,

The broadband speed is fine on android devices, however on my iPhone and Ipad its painfully slow.

 

What is the cause? is there any settings I can change?

Welcome to the forum.

Try separating the 2.4 and 5GHz bands, see https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/2-4ghz-and-or-5ghz-best-practice/m-p/1351966#M840

Try each band in turn and use the best.

thanks for that, I've made the changes and I still can't run basic apps like youtube without buffering - do I need to give it some time?

No it should be instantaneous. Have you tried each band? It will have connected to the 2.4GHz band by default, have you gone in to your IPhone available wireless network settings and tried the 5GHz one?
