I personally use DGTeam firmware with my DGN2000.  Had no issues.  It's worth mentioning that installing the firmware invalidates the Netgear warranty covering your router.

It's really good to hear of some real experiences of router performance.  Would the contributors care to say what sort of errors are reduced (DSL down or loss of sync) and if they are on ADSL or ADSL2+(21CN) because, as I have said before, things changed for the worse when I went to 21CN.
I am now on 18days ADSL and 6 days Internet (no sync error) which is the best since I changed.  Possibly it's not the router but  BT or PN (not) changing things.
