NEW LINKSYS N ROUTER:
JUST GOT THIS AT Good price from Playcom but looking at myself as it were on my sniffer s/ware
is showing me on 2 channels ie 9 & 5. Is that normal on N Routers?
Secondly I occasionally see another p/word protected router showing a MAX speed of 270
against mine of 150; what standard is that router on?
Thanks

Normally the up to 300Mbs routers use 2 channels like you have. The up to 150Mbs normally use 1 channel.
There is usually an option in the web interface to switch between the 1 & 2 channel mode.

Using 2 channels gives you double the bandwidth, so twice the speed.
150M can be a 2 channel mode, but more likely for a N150 adapter, that would only do 65 or 72 using 1 channel.
