Just had fibre installed today but having some strange results.
Own Laptop Wired - 36 Mbps Down, 6 Mbps Up which I am really pleased with (previously max 3 Down and 0.4 Up !!!)
Own Laptop - Wireless - 16 Mbps Down, 6 Mbps Up - so my first thought was blame the router ....... BUT .........
........OR Engineers Laptop - Wireless - 37 Mbps Down, 6 Mbps Up (and I saw him do the test twice on Speedtest)
Is my laptop in need of an upgrade (and if so what bit needs upgrading ??)
Thanks

Hi there,
It sounds very much like the engineer's laptop might have been wireless N compatible where as your's may not be.
Wireless capability is often built into laptops but USB adapters are also used by many so that might be something you want to look into.
