Re: New Fibre Broadband Speeds?

So, are you going to provide the details I requested? If the phone works, then do all the tests/supply the information and we will try to help. Otherwise, say you don't need the help, and I, at least, will ignore this topic.

Re: New Fibre Broadband Speeds?

Hi @joecool

I'm sorry to hear that your speeds have dropped that certainly shouldn't have happened!

After testing your line I've seen a potential internal issue known as a bridge tap which could be due to the way you've got things setup.

Are you able to provide any photos of how you have things connected?

Re: New Fibre Broadband Speeds?

Could you actually answer a post - like @MatthewWheeler 's above, which asked for pictures of your setup, or mine further up which asked for data in an attempt to try and help you?

Re: New Fibre Broadband Speeds?

Hi sorry about that a few problems uploading. Hub Tech Log. There's an extension from master socket to bedroom to study. Appreciate any help as speeds still the same. Thx

@joecool that will be whats causing the bridge tap report. Try removing the extension plug and connecting the router directly to the master socket, then check the data rate on the helpdesk page of the hub

@joecool

The best way to eliminate any internal bridge taps is to remove the faceplate from the BT master socket (you may need to remove two screws). In the back section you will find the test socket. Plug a filter in the test socket and use this to connect the hub.

Re: New Fibre Broadband Speeds?

Based on that extremely difficult to read Help desk shot, I personally think there is more going off - low DSL uptime, high D/S SNR margin both lead me to suspect outside problems, although the xDSL uptime could be a red herring if the OP has benn swapping cables/disconnecting.

Re: New Fibre Broadband Speeds?

high D/S SNR margin

That's almost certainly due to the unfiltered extension.
