Re: New Customer Very Slow Speeds

If you search for SWCRS on this page you'll see that 21CN WBC is available. That should mean that you will be able to get faster upload.
Which account type are you on? If it's not Value you should be able to be moved to ADSL2+ and with your attenuation you should get better speeds and faster upload (although once you are on ADSL2+ you may need to ask for your upload to be uncapped).

Re: New Customer Very Slow Speeds

we are on premium i believe, which ever one is above value but below max premium.
So this mean i am able to get adsl2+ on my package or do we have to upgrade?
when you say about re connecting every day do you mean to just reboot the router on 192.168.1.254 or to literally unplug the phone line and replug it in.?
Thanks

Re: New Customer Very Slow Speeds

Reboot the router.
Extra is up to 20MB which is ADSL2+
Hopefully one of the PN Comms team will see this topic tomorrow and place an order to get you upgraded.

Re: New Customer Very Slow Speeds

Hi SWilliams,
I've just tried to take a look at your profile history as while your speeds are correct for the 1000 profile you're on at the moment it looks like you should be getting more. Unfortunately the site is down at the moment, as soon as it's back up we'll be able to take a look and advise you - I'm not sure the regrade would improve things at the moment and would rather look at that first.
If however it's not up by mid afternoon I'll get the order placed anyway as there's no point in delaying past today.

Re: New Customer Very Slow Speeds

I've privately pointed out to Matt the problems you had with the Sky boxes which explain your previous low speeds so you should see an improvement.
Matt are you also ordering to un-cap the upload?

Re: New Customer Very Slow Speeds

When I place the order I'll make sure it's uncapped upstream, sure.
@SWilliams, would you be able to post a result from the bt speed tester (http://www.speedtester.bt.com) showing your current BT profile please? If this shows a significant improvement now your sky boxes are filtered I'll be happy to place the order now. I'd check myself but as I said the site is down at the moment I'm afraid. It's that improvement I want to confirm before placing the order just to make sure the transition and the new service go smoothly.

Re: New Customer Very Slow Speeds

Unfortunately, I think as the 1000 to 3264 is not a massive increase I think it's going to take a couple of days for your IP Profile to rise.
Switching to ADSL2+ will I believe start the training process again and would give your IP Profile an instant kick.

Re: New Customer Very Slow Speeds

You won't get any downtime, but it will take five working days or so. I'll place the order for you now.
