New Customer, IP Profile stuck?

Hey there,
I've already raised this issue with Support (Ticket: 68749496 ) but thought I may get some more info/feedback on the forum Smiley
We've recently just moved house and signed up with Plusnet but have been seeing a fixed download speed of ~2Mbps, we're pretty close to the exchange and I would have thought be getting nearer the 6-7 Mbps rate. Having done various tests (Ethernet only, Master socket etc) I'm wondering if our IP Profile is stuck at 2Mbps?
BT Wholesale Test results show:
Download speed achieved during the test was - 1.93 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.4 Mbps-2 Mbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :8.13 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2 Mbps
Router DSL Connection Status:

Hi Mark,
Firstly I'd like to welcome you to Plusnet and our community forums Smiley
I've spoken with our suppliers who have now reset your profile so you should see an increase within the next 4 hours.
Let me know how you go on.

Jim, I think this problem is when people have been on fixed 2Mb IP profiles (IOW, not on an Upto 8Mb profile) and are moved to Upto 8Mb.
The missus came over from Tiscali/TalkTalk to PN and we found she was on a fixed profile.

Re: New Customer, IP Profile stuck?

This wasn't a transfer but a new connection
