New BT wall socket add on

Hi, just read about a cheap BT wall socket adaptor thingy, that  reduces noise by disabeling er one of the analogue lines around the house. Apparently after a day or two , speed increases by about 40-60% (hope my facts and recollections are right). Any1 else have any more info about this gadget, as it only costs around 5-£10. BTW, this isnt some goon story or bent science, it's actuallly being released by BT

I suspect you have heard about and are referring to the i-Plate. This is only likely to be of any benefit if you have fixed extension wiring and sockets where the bell wire is connected. In the main, the same effects can be achieved by disconnecting the bell wire, and that doesn't cost anything!
If you have extensions and want to know more, post back details about your wiring.
