Re: Netgear logs

What model of Netgear is this? I'm guessing it's an old one.
Is it configured to automatically disconnect after the Internet connection hasn't been used for a while?
The "Send out NTP request" log messages are probably due to a firmware bug, which causes automatically setting the time using NTP to not work after your external IP address changes. Your external IP address will change each time those LCP message indicate the Internet connection has disconnected (unless you have a static IP address from Plusnet).

Re: Netgear logs

Yes, you should be able to find the "Idle Timeout" for the PPP connection, and set it to zero, then it will remain connected.
