Netgear Wifi Extender WN3000RP fails to access the internet

We can't get our Netgear Wifi Extender WN3000RP to work with our new Plusnet router.
We've just made the switch from Custom Network (which worked fine with a Netgear router several extenders) to PlusNet. To keep things simple we opted for the "free" router - and whilst the router works fine, we cant get the extenders to work for anything other than the "home network".
We particularly need the extender to work as our antiquated desktop pc doesn't have wifi and we need the Ethernet connection from the extender to the pc to get it on the internet.
HELP!!!

Re: Netgear Wifi Extender WN3000RP fails to access the internet

Hi Keefg,
Welcome to the forums.
Are these devices set to acquire their IP addresses by DHCP or are they configured within the device?
By default NetGear devices use the IP subnet 192.168.1.0 where as the PlusNET TG router uses 182.168.0.0 - I suspect this is the cause of your problem.
You can either change the devices to use DHCP allocated addresses or reconfigure your old router to log on to your PlusNET account.  The logon details required are yourusername@plusdsl.net and the account password.
