After many years I found I needed to do a factory reset (it has the latest firmware) on my DG834n. It is all behaving except that I cant set up a secure wi-fi network!
It just seems to ignore the security setting regardless of what type, rate, location and channel I select... It just sets up an open wi-fi network. Also it doesn't seem to be able to remember what country / continent I have it set to, when you hit apply it changes back to choose location..
I seem to remember there was a solution to this but it is so many years ago I have forgotten it.... Anyone out there with a better memory than me?

Fixed! It seems like the issue was something to do with browsers.... I had tried both chrome and IE with the same issues. After I turned off the pop up blocker the settings stayed as set.... Somewhat odd as they are drop downs but that appears to have been the poblem, obviously something has changed over the years that the router built in web page didn't like!
