Re: Netgear DG834GT Compatability Question.

Force9Original - I've been through the extra info on tripod.com. It was most useful. Thanks. If I can get the routers for a fiver each then maybe I'll splash out a tenner.
ITWorks - I'd seen some GTs on eBay around the price you mentioned. Useful info about the v3 - I already have one of those.

Re: Netgear DG834GT Compatability Question.

Those AR7 chips in the V3 dislike IFTN based lines.
The 6348 chip is found in a lot of other routers, even in the old BT Voyager's (2110) which in another way to keep costs down.
It maybe worth a look at some of the less popular routers with the 6348 chipset that work with the DMT tool programme.  ( http://www.kitz.co.uk/routers/DMTv8.htm) ;   (http://dmt.mhilfe.de/)
Cheers f9o

Re: Netgear DG834GT Compatability Question.

I was told this morning that my line was quite solid (http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,99805.0.html so I think I'll skip the 2wire and go for the DG834GT with DGTeam firmware. Probably the right move.  Undecided
