Netflix throttling

Hi! I hope this is the right place for this question!

We are currently with another company for our broadband and thinking of changing to Plusnet but are worried about the throttling. We use about 100 - 250GB of data per month mainly in gaming and netflix so would be likely to be classed as high users.

I assume as Plusnet has a FUP we would be throttled with that useage and if so would it affect Netflix or gaming?

Re: Netflix throttling

If there was a FUP we wouldn't be allowed to call it Unlimited anymore Wink

100-250GB isn't a huge amount if I'm honest, we have people using 6 or 7 times that amount easily.

Re: Netflix throttling

Thank you for your quick response. I notice from this article that traffic priority is used and that streaming is medium priority. If the service is busy I am worried that Netflix will buffer and we would not enjoy the streaming. Would this be the case? https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/about-traffic-prioritisation/
