This is still displaying "Sorry - My Broadband Speed is currently experiencing technical difficulty and may display misleading test results. Thanks for bearing with us while we fix things".
Is this still the case? Seems to have been in this state for yonks. It's showing my speeds ok.

Yes, it is still the case. It will be performing OK on occasion because there's likely to be less traffic hitting the platform now that the message is in place. On higer end connections, the performance issues are likely to be most noticeable e.g. from a test I've just run on my own line:

Problems with it for both up and download speeds. 80% into the upload test it drops the speed from 340kB/s to 240, with 240 as the end result and at times the download speed seems to go crazy at the 90% mark and speeds up then slows down
