MyBroadbandSpeed, our Broadband Speed test site, has been updated to have a nice shiny new skin.
You can see it at MyBroadbandSpeed where you can try it out.

Not bad, though on my 1600px-high monitor, I get a big white expanse of nothingness between the main part of the page (where the speed testing goes on) and the footer of 'useful links', which looks a little odd.

I can never understand why it hasn't replaced the old speed test accessed via 'Connection settings'.

I'm not sure what the plans are for it appearing on the Member Centre - I shall ask questions about this though (or someone who knows will answer this thread).
That's by design, Thomas (it serves you right for having a big monitor :P)

On speedtest.net when you click in any of the boxes to share the results it automatically selects the full contents of the box - can't you do the same?

I wasn't saying it wasn't by design - I was saying it was a questionable design.

A couple of comments on the help page.
Since there are (rightly) 8 bits in a byte, there can't be 1024 bytes in a kilobyte if there are 1000 bits in a kilobit. (I know Microsoft can manage that when it suits them but I feel PlusNet should stick to reality, and the ratio used by the tester.)
The explanation of up to 8Mb speeds implies one could actually see 8000kbps measured on the tester if one lives across from the exchange. As stated in the main portal the maximum download speed (when some of the transmission overheads are stripped out) is 7150kbps - rounded to 7000kbps in the portal text).
