I've just been looking through your account and I only see one fault raised since Christmas which turned out to be a fault with your phone, which we don't supply. We do have a 24 hour call centre as well as our ticketing system, so it's a shame you left it so long as I'm sure we can help you when you're having problems.
I've just tested your line and see that your profile is now back up to 750k. The reason it will have dropped to 350k will be because you have synced at a lower rate after a disconnection.  As for being on up to 8Mbps speeds, this is the maximum the service is capable of depending on line length. As you have such a long line the kind of speed you are getting is quite common.

Hi Jo,
Yep - my speed seems to be back up now.  Strange that it went down like that.  I know the external wiring for telephone is not great where I live (I have had several line faults in the last 4 years or so).
