My Broadband Speed Test TOTALLY INACCURATE

Thought I had a problem with speed, so I unplugged my router, and re-connected.... then did a MBB speed test.... here are the results...
Date                   Download Speed            Upload Speed
Today 09:30  778 kbps (97.3kB/s)    496 kbps (62kB/s)
Today 09:24         999 kbps (125kB/s)    792 kbps (99kB/s)
Today 09:22  2168 kbps (271kB/s)  287 kbps (35.9kB/s)
Pathetic....
So I thought I`ll try a BT speed test..... here is the result...

Please Note: We are currently experiencing issues with our speed tester and results may not be 100% accurate.

But that is totally inaccurate and virtually useless.... ( the reason the above quoted "get out" is posted on there is something to do with the introduction of Fibre connections....
Isn`t it about time the MBB tester was overhauled..... after all, it is quite some time now since fibre has been in operation.... and other speed testers seem to have coped with the "dual fuel" situation .....

Re: My Broadband Speed Test TOTALLY INACCURATE

It's not specifically to do with FTTC.
Have a read of the topic about it: http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,103382.0.html
