Re: Moving from sky fibre

I think you need to wait for a staff response on Monday to that question. I believe there were Openreach-associated problems with ordering some moves but I don't know if these have now been overcome.

Tell him not to join. The speed they promise and the one you get are a joke.
I'm getting a quarter of what I was told I'd get.
If he needs help he'll be expected to know the ins and outs of computer terminology too.

I joined in march and I get 73-75 mb day and night  I highly recommend them.
That's the trouble with ISP forums you never get the people on them saying how good the ISP is only the ones that are having problems which is fair enough.

Re: Moving from sky fibre

Hi there,
If we currently attempt to migrate a Sky fibre customer the order is rejected. The only way currently around this is to place a new line install that does involve charges.
There is a fix due for this in the next 4 weeks, which would then allow for the simple migration to go ahead with no hitches.

I joined PN over a year ago because they were so helpful with my 85 year old mum in law after she bought her first ever computer in Jan 2012 & opened her first internet account. I have also found them to be absolutely superb. Mind you, compared to my previous isp, AOL/TalkTalk, that wouldn't be too difficult!!

Let me know how he gets on, it may be the new line install option taken?

My friend said that the guy he spoke to at plusnet said there would be no issues and took first months payment

Re: Moving from sky fibre

Is he already on the BT network with Sky, not Sky LLU? Is he definitely on fibre at the minute?

Re: Moving from sky fibre

There has been at least one case of a Sky fibre customer being put back onto ADSL to facilitate the change of ISP.
This was mentioned some time back on the SkyUser forum!
