More slowdown woes - help please!

A week or so ago I had a problem with my download speed so ran a BT speedtest (below) and then raised a ticket. The result was the PN ran some diagnostics and identified a BT line problem.  A BT engineer fixed the fault in a junction box at the end of my road this morning and speeds immediately returned to approx 8mb, which is what I normally experience and is shown as my estimated line speed.
Download speed  - 1300 Kbps
Acceptable range of speeds is 4000-21000 Kbps.
DSL Connection Rate: 10422 Kbps (DOWN-STREAM), 443 Kbps (UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 9194 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 22.78:22.45:54.8 (SBE:NBE:PBE)
I ran another speedtest tonight with the following results:
Download speed - 1524 Kbps
Acceptable range of speeds is 4000-21000 Kbps.
DSL Connection Rate: 18507 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 443 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 16328 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 25.45:25.79:48.78 (SBE:NBE:PBE)
The download speed has reduced to almost what it was before and I also notice that the DSL connection rate and IP profile have increased considerably.  I can’t pretend to understand much about this but do these stats look correct?  Is this still a BT problem – any help would be much appreciated

What does this give for Current Line Speed https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed

Estimated line speed 8mb - current line speed 2.5mb

That is the answer - I would phone Plusnet explaining that their copy of the IP profile needs fixing (that is what the "Current Line Speed" is supposed to match)

HI prodda,
I've changed the profile at our end to 17000 to allow for your profile of 16328. You should see the change shortly.
