Monthly Allowance

I have only been a Plusnet broadband user since October 2011 an in that time I have come close twice to exceeding my 10Gb monthly allowance. That was until this month when I exceeded the allowance and used 1Gb, apparently) in just one day.
I am bemused becuase I cannot see where I have downloaded over a Gb in one night. Plusnet cannot give me a breakdown of the daily figures, e.g. show me what sites I have visited and where the data has been downloaded from yet remain confident that the figure is correct.
Any ideas? Does anyone know of any software I can use to check the Plusnet figures?
Thanks

Re: Monthly Allowance

NetWorx looks interesting - thanks for that post.
Not sure it will help retropectively.
@ the OP: can you go through your browser history for that day?
Of course that only covers websites but one might be the culpret. Might be a file in your brower's temp folder or cache that was created on day that gives a clue, a downloaded enbedded video for example.

Re: Monthly Allowance

Plusnet can provide an hourly breakdown which might help identify what's going on.

I'm assuming it's Wednesday 1st you're referring to? Here's the hourly breakdown:
Hour	Upload (MB)	Downloaded (MB)
0 0.0507 0.2099
1 0.0536 0.2102
2 0.0513 0.2136
3 0.0476 0.1982
4 0.0479 0.1978
5 0.0514 0.2095
6 0.0534 0.2261
7 0.2132 1.9018
8 0.7984 2.4001
9 2.6024 54.7025
10 11.0532 468.6691
11 0.6560 3.9083
12 0.0148 0.0315
13 0.0267 0.0956
14 0.0193 0.0370
15 0.0539 0.1978
16 0.4623 2.2361
17 3.6175 58.3583
18 1.3572 23.9786
19 10.2028 336.4892
20 0.9754 2.7938

Re: Monthly Allowance

Two sessions of watching roughly hour long programs on iPlayer?

Re: Monthly Allowance

Not necessarily even an hour long.. 45 mins or watching something in HD for 30 mins.
One annoying thing with the olympic coverage (slightly off tangent here) is that there seems not to be a way to control bitrate. So watching over 3 mobile I watch in low quality but stil have loads of my 10Gb usage allowance left..
With Plusnet, because of the faster rate, BBC gives me high quality but now I'm up to my 10Gb limit already.. Wish BBC live coverage would give an option (perhaps there is?).
