Modified firmware for Netgear DGN 2200M WirelessN300 router - questions

HI folks,
I've recently replaced my BT Voyager 2110 router with this new Netgear router.
I came across a set of modified firmware on the Sourceforge.net site which can be loaded onto
a USB stick and inserted into the USB socket on the router.
This can then be read by modified firmware DGN 2200_1.0.0.36modfs11.04.1_WW_A_hwu.zip
which is unzipped and loaded onto the router as a "standard" firmware upgrade.
Having the modifications on the USB stick means that is the only part of the firmware that needs
to be updated as necessary.
Well it all seems to work, but there is a lack of documentation. I seem to have some additional features
including the ability to adjust the  target SNR margin and the WiFi transmit power.
Question 1. I currently have the target SNR margin set to 75%, on the adsl stats I have :-
D/S    U/S
1205  675
SNR Margin (dB):
7.9    5.6
Attenuation (dB):
63.5  34.5
Power (dBm):
0.0  12.6
Interleaving Depth:
8  8
Bitswap:
611  1564
Attainable Rate (Kbps):
1624  58
How do I move from my current download speed of 1205 to 1624?
Question 2.WiFi transmit power is shown as -1 mW with a note explaining :-
Wifi Transmit Power:
Default value is -1 and it's about 40mW for DGN2200. Maximum allowed value is 70 mW.
does this mean that -1 mW =40mW ???? Also how can I increase the output power and in what ratio
Any thoughts, Ian
