Miserable Broadband

Keeps failing and Best Effort Test says consult Broadband provider  but dont have the time to wait for 16 people

1. Best Effort Test: -provides background information.

  Download  Speed
  0.72 Mbps

0 Mbps 2 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed

 Download speed 0.72 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.8 Mbps-2 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 1.48 Mbps

2. Upstream Test: -provides background information.

  Upload Speed
  0.03 Mbps

0 Mbps 0.45 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 0.03Mbps
 Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 0.45 Mbps

This test was not conclusive and further testing is required. This might be useful for your Broadband Service Provider to investigate the fault.

Any ideas Thank you

Re: Miserable Broadband

Last Tuesday and Wednesday there were a signficant amount of disconnections showing on your line:

Upstream DSL Link Information Downstream DSL Link Information
Loop Loss: 45.0 70.0
SNR Margin: 13.0 6.2
Errored Seconds: 0 0
HEC Errors: 0
Cell Count: 0 0
Speed: 446 1821

Maximum Stable Rate (KBPS): 1728 Fault Threshold Rate (KBPS): 1382
Mean Time Between Retrains (Seconds): 2102 Mean Time Between Errors Upstream (Seconds): 118
Indicative Line Quality: C Mean Time Between Errors Downstream (Seconds): 5254
The line test shows your line to be very long, so really it's unlikely to see much of an increase from what you're currently seeing I'm afraid.

Re: Miserable Broadband

Unfortunately I dont find this acceptable as I am not able to do much with this speed and do know that it can be better , every time I have had an engineers visit things have been better after and have remained good for some time

Re: Miserable Broadband

The profile on your line had dropped to 1200, but this has now recovered to 1600. Can you try a single disconnect/reconnect and see if the speed has improved at all.

Re: Miserable Broadband

Your router doesn't seem to have disconnected, so there won't have been a change in speed yet.
