Is there any downside to migrating from
PlusNet Broadband Your Way Option 3
to
Extra
Will my current features be protected?
Broadband Phone 240
Standard webspace allowance
CGI webspace allowance
Domain hosting
Fixed IP address
I'm guessing traffic prioritisation is similar?
Thanks,
Paul

Hi there,
You won't lose any of those legacy components, no
You can see the difference in the products prioritisation here: http://usergroup.plus.net/prodcomp1.php (just pick the two products you want to compare from the dropdowns).

Changing to Extra seems a no-brainer to me. Traffic management is much reduced and it's cheaper.
Though additional usage on Extra comes in 5GB chucks for £5 rather than 1GB chucks for £1 the 30GB per month increase in basic allowance far outweighs that.

When you request the upgrade, be sure to ask the rep. the keep those features, otherwise they're likely to be removed. We lost our fixed IP address, but it was restored quickly after contacting Plusnet
