Maximum achievable speed range figure on BT speed tester

Hi having just changed over from BT this afternoon I have looked on the BT speedtester to see what the stats are now Iknow i was told the speeds would be low at first but what puzzles me is whereas before the changeover it stated my maximum achievable speed was in the range of 600-7150kbts with a profile that at times was as high as 5 meg I now see it is set at 400-2000kbts and my profile set at 2000kbts.
Why has this been reduced by such a big margin  does this mean I will never ever reach the heady heights of 5meg  and be restricted to 400-2000kbts if that is so I will be extremely disappointed with my service.
my line speed at the moment is nudging the maximum.
The maximum achievable speed range 400-2000 has never been as low as that before.

Re: Maximum achievable speed range figure on BT speed tester

If you have only switched over today I would give things a day or so to settle down. It looks like you have been placed on a fixed 2000 profile which sometimes happens after a migration and should resolve itself once the BT systems catch up with the change.
