Re: Massive slow downs at peak times

The VP you are connected to could be hot. But, checking it on the internet often tells you it's ok when it's not. I had this problem where I would go down to under 2Mb during peak times. But, BT wouldn't do anything as it was over my Minimum Fault Rate. You can report it as a fault to Plusnet but BT might not do anything. Or, you could ask a staff member on here. They are online Weekdays only.

Re: Massive slow downs at peak times

Is It happening at the same times? Your screencap says no, I used to experience this but In the end I gave up watching It, Problem went away after that Grin

Re: Massive slow downs at peak times

Well they told me to carry "tests" just the general fault stuff
anyone want to see my BT speedtest? lol
Download speedachieved during the test was - 15989 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 4000-21000 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :16231 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 984 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 13000 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 37.49:19.61:42.9 (SBE:NBE:PBE)
These figures represent the ratio while sententiously passing Sub BE, Normal BE and Priority BE marked traffic.
The results of this test will vary depending on the way your ISP has decided to use these traffic classes.
what the.... like 2% overhead  Crazy
anyways
i've logged a fault but i can see this dragging on.

Re: Massive slow downs at peak times

You need to run the BT speed test when it is going slow - if that is below 4000 they will have to investigate.
