no nothings changed within the games it happens with every game i play, for the first 3 weeks or so of having plusnet it was fine great speeds no lag/ping issues no issues with skype calls or teamspeak while playing a game but ever since its been terrible

It may be, like Chris has mentioned previously, that the games are using more bandwidth than they were before. It may be that you're just getting pushed slightly over the margin and this is causing the issues.
Unfortunately there isn't anything further that we can suggest. Your line, as Chris has also stated, looks fine from our end. Perhaps maybe someone else has something they can suggest?
It may just be a case that you're not going to be able to game, skype, browse, watch iplayer on the xbox, and watch youtube on a laptop at the same time

What games do you play, assuming you still check this thread?
Because I can skype+League of legends at the same time, and do. Frequently. (this is with a download speed very slightly faster than yours, about 1.8, and with an upload speed a bit higher (like 0.7ish))
It may also be possible someone else in the house is running a big download for example at the same time, effectively decimating your connection speed.
