Malicious email purporting to be from Microsoft Software Update Centre

I know you guys are pretty savvy but thought it worth mentioning that I received an email today claiming to be from (from memory) Microsoft Software Update Centre saying that an urgent security update to all version of Windows can only be accessed via a link in the email as the Update Centre on the Microsoft website has been infected. The email includes a .exe file as an attachment which I presume is stack full of malware. Just do like I did and delete the email
Cheers
