Mailing Lists & Googlemail accounts

Good morning
I have a couple of mailing lists and they work very well except that people with a gmail (googlemail) account cannot subscribe to them.
I have checked on googlemail and the subscribe e-mail is listed there. However users are not getting the confirmation e-mail asking if they agree to subscribe.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I know I've been able to do this in the past. I'll give it another go now from a different Gmail account and see what happens...

... Seems OK.
Sent a subscribe request and the confirmation email from ezmlm came back almost immediately (it was filed in the spam folder though). Replying to the confirmation email resulted in an email welcoming me to the list (this wasn't filed as spam).

Sorry I didn't reply earlier as I have been out .
Normally I send and receive through Windows Mail so I logged on to the gmail site and there it was in the spam folder - I had logged on previously but never thought of looking in the spam folder.
I can now advise the other subscribers what to do.
