Low speed after reconnection

Hi
Last week I had a problem with my phone  which ended with a new wire into my house.
Since then I have had download speeds of around 124 kbps. I have checked my current profiled speed which returns this message,

Estimated line speed:
Not recorded (service activated before we introduced estimates).
Current line speed:
    250
The phone line was reconnected on Saturday afternoon so only a little over 48 hours have passed since then , so is it just a waiting game for BT to catch up or is there something I can do to speed it up, I have rebooted my router a number of times.
Regards
Barry

Nothing you can do - it will take 3 days minimum to change.
Rebooting the router will have no effect

apart from possibly making the exchange think you still have a line problem!
