Pretty newish to Plusnet and have been checking my download speed which is somewhere between 1.2 and 1.5 mbits. I am sure when i first joined that i was told i should hit somewhere up to 5 mbits. Is my speed actually low or is this what i should expect?

We can then try and understand why your speed may be low.

Welcome Are you using any extension cables/sockets at all. Do you have a test socket behind your faceplate?

Yes, that's a good start. That speed isn't good for the attenuation of your line and the error counts are very high.
Looks like Jojo's on the case though...

Thanks for the reply. I am not using any extension cables. I have connected the router into the test socket on the BT master and still only get around 1.2 - 1.5 Mbits.

when you connect to the test socket you won't see any difference in your speed but what you would see is a different sync rate. If it's still in the test socket I can run some checks, so let me know.

I'm going to get the SNR lowered now you're in the test socket. I'll let you know once it's taken effect how it's looking.

It may be that not being in the test socket was causing the issue. I'd advise you to leave it there a few days so we can be sure whether that is the problem or not.
