Lost topic

I've just tried to reply to a topic in Rants and Raves and got an error - the topic has disappeared with no link or explanation.
What's going on?

probably because it was merged to here http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,82231.16.html and there doesn't seem to be a mechanism for registering a merge

In that case a link to the other topic and a lock would have been more appropriate I'd suggest.

i usually try to keep things in one place where possible
