Lost all my speed - SNR sky high

I've just checked my router to find an upstream SNR of 13dB - usually I have 3 downstream and 5/6 upstream.
What can I do to fix it?

Re: Lost all my speed - SNR sky high

Hi,
I've been looking after your Fault Ticket. When your SNR is down at 3db your line starts to error, a lot. Your downstream SNR is currently at 5.7db (6db is the target). The SNR is likely to be fluctuating due to the errors. Can you confirm that you are still connected into your Test Socket?

There's no test socket in my flat, it's a new complex and all the wiring was put in by the builders (sockets are flush with the wall, for example)

Okay, that's great, and have you connected an alternative microfilter? If so, does it make any difference at all?

Yes, I bought a £9 microfilter. SNR was lower. Last week, it held on to 16500 for 11 days straight.

Can you keep an eye on your connection please as I have fixed your SNR to 6db to ensure your connection remains stable.
If you start to notice any drops on your line, please let me know.

It's the upstream I'm having trouble with, it's still 12 Sad

How is it affecting your connection?

Re: Lost all my speed - SNR sky high

Upstream sync is locked at mid-800s, compared to 1200 normally. I run a home server so obviously this makes things difficult for remote working and my website.

Hi,
Not a lot we can do while the current SNR reset is still going through, but given your line quality (green, which is good) it should sort itself out over the next couple of days automatically anyway.

Re: Lost all my speed - SNR sky high

DCT guys, I've cleared a line fault (on my other thread).
Any chance I can ask for the manual SNR targets to be removed, and a full SNR reset?

Re: Lost all my speed - SNR sky high

We can't make any changes to your SNR Target at the moment as your line is in the stabilisation period. I'll take a look on Monday and see if that's cleared for you.

Re: Lost all my speed - SNR sky high

Just wondering if someone can have a look at my line today please?
Thanks to help from Anotherone I've got rid of the crackle on my line that's been there since it was installed.
Can the DLM be completely reset?

Re: Lost all my speed - SNR sky high

Unfortunately your line can't be reset until Wednesday as your line is currently in it's training period until 13/03/2013, this is due to a previous reset that was done to try and increase your upload speeds.
I'll make sure this gets sorted on Wednesday for you.

Re: Lost all my speed - SNR sky high

*bump* Please could someone look at a complete reset of the DLM for me? I'm on an SNRM of 3.6dB downstream but over 10dB upstream. That seems very poor given my line quality!
