This happens on 20CN as well exactly the same symptoms and same fix process. If it does happen very often, on 20CN, I usually get and SFI sent out to test the port at the exchange as it might knackered. if confirmed as faulty port, we then can request a tie pair modify.
A bit risky if the fault doesn't happen very often as the engineer will just test it for few minutes and might not be able to replicate the problem. other engineer test might highlight a possible port fault.

Having got connected at last using my old Netgear modem (great modem but the wireless doesnt work) I was a bit wary of disconnecting it and plugging in my new Belkin.....but it worked first time
Such a relief to be back at dsl speeds again!!

Gone again, it was up for less than 24 hrs - that must be a record.
It would be really funny if it wasn't such a joke, at what point does Plusnet consider this an issue - because I'm well past that point. This is my fourth outage in 2 weeks, I've haven't had one in the 4 previous years with Plusnet.
This is not the service I'm paying for and I'm extremely unhappy to say the least. How do I get a fixed once and for all?

hard reset: 20sec hold reset button, unplug 20sec still pressing the reset button and another 20sec to turn on the power while holding the reset button
jimmcginty: I've just retested the line and the ATM layer is failing again after BT have reset reloaded the software for this particular port. I've rang them from home to make sure that the fault will be addressed properly. please keep us updated once you are back online.
I don't blame you for being extremely unhappy, If the same fault happen again I will call the right team with BTw ( they don't open on w/e). Your patience is much appreciated.

While I may have been online last night, a few KB of data through router, I'm off oline again.
I'm going to wait 1 hr before shouting at somebody.

Well I'm approaching been offline approx 50% of the time over the past 19 days.

If it continues till Saturday, that will be 60% of my billing period, makes you wondering why I should be paying for a 33 Kbs download speed.
I wonder how long before BT claim to have fixed it again before it falls over again - Yes I am hacked off, can you tell?

Still down.
New Thomson router you supplied gives the exact same fault as my 2 other routers, DSL connected but ATM/PPP down.
And to rub salt into the wound you've taken another months DD, whoohoo.

I've lost internet connection for the second time in 7 days. The first outage lasted from Sunday to Wednesday morning. Have I let myself in for a world of hurt by changing from an old BBYW tarrif to Broadband Premium?

I don't think so, I moved to unlimited about 4-5 mnths ago and it's been fine. My problems started
a few days after being transferred to the 21CN.

Well I've got an IP address again, we can but hope BTw has fixed their issue but I'm not optimistic if past performance is anything to go by.
