Good afternoon everyone!
Im writing here in hope of some further help or to see if anyone else within the ST16 area using FTTC are having serious issues with connections dropping out. My problem has been going on for about 3 weeks now, still with no resolution in sight.
It started when my connection was down for 2-3 days.
The DSL light on modem was flashing and internet light on router went red (when manually reconnecting) using the connection test within the router page, stated that the PPP link was down.
Other the last few weeks i have had two engineers out, first one came to test my socket and line (told me that it was in very good condition and didn't see any issues) he replaced the modem as he said it was an incorrect model for my area, even tho it will work, he said areas have two types of modems due to firmware upgrades from the cabinet. Modem was installed but didn't connect, so he then went to the cabinet i imagine did some black magic and when he came back my connection was back online.
After this visit the connection remained stable for about 4-5 days, then on a Sunday night, the exact same problem, this time i left it over night and by Monday morning ish, the connection was again, back online. We had an engineer who came to look at the exchange, called me and told me he didn't need to check my line as he had found a problem and had a large number of "jobs" to do here and it should be fixed.
While the engineer was working connection dropped out for a while, as he said this would happen. then remained stable for a day or two again.
However, i am now still getting random drop outs, had one 30 minutes ago which lasted 10-15 minutes, had one yesterday which lasted no more than 5 minutes.
Is anyone else within the ST16 area having these crazy issues? i have a family member who is experiencing this issue also who lives quite close, so im guessing the problem is more wide spread or something that seems to be overlooked within the cabinet?.
My question number is 65473392 if any one wishes to take a further look into this for me
If anyone can shed any more insight or help on this, id be forever grateful as id really like to have this fixed asap >_<

Hi there,
Doesn't look like we're seeing the same length of the drops at this end:

Having said that of course it's still not ideal. I can see this is still in hand with our faults team and they'll no doubt be back to you soon, we're not aware of any particular issues but if others in your area are having difficulties then urge them to report it as that'll let our suppliers know there's an issue in the area.

Hi matt thanks for the reply,
Checking back, the drop out started 5th and was back online by 7th, which is not listed in the graph as its a while back i assume.
Those disconnections do seem to correlate with recent issues during those dates however.
Thanks
