Logging in toTechnicolor TG582n

Hi,
Is anyone aware of an issue with logging into the above router using firefox?
I am unable to access the router using Firefox, just comes up with 'The username or password you've entered is incorrect. Please check and try again.' but have no problems with IE......  Undecided

Clearing the Cache, Cookies and browsing history may solve the problem on FireFox, I did this once and it turned out successful.

Thanks for the advice  Smiley
Have removed cookies and cleared cache - no joy.
Have removed and reinstalled Firefox - no joy.

@mushroommrs That's an unusual issue to say the least, do you use any kind of auto-complete plugin? I think it might be possible to reinstall Firefox whilst keeping plugins like that in place. Just a theory but if you've synced your preferences for FF that could happen AFAIK.

No - no plugins.  But have just come back from a friends who is having the same problem, but with IE !  Maybe something to do with us both being with BT before plusnet as the routers have the same address? 192.168.1.254 ...

Using Firefox - try this
Tools/Options/Security/Saved Passwords
You can select View Passwords to check the actual ones

Many thanks to Oldjim  Smiley
I cleared the passwords but still no joy, but interestingly I set up a master password then tried and it worked. So now back to my friends to do the same.  Thanks very much, have been wrestling with this for some time  Grin

Re: Logging in toTechnicolor TG582n

Also you could try http://dsldevice.lan instead of the IP address (as the BT router uses http://bthomehub.home to represent the same address)
