Linksys X3000, dLan powerline adapters - recommended settings?

I've been experiencing regular lost connections both with an old router (Netgear) and now with a new Linksys X3000 (new filter, new cables). Also trying to use devolo dLan 200 AVPlus powerline adapters for a new Humax YouView box. My mobile wireless equipment works at other people's house and in hot spots, so I don't think that is an issue, but the YouView search facility (which uses the internet) mostly doesn't work, I can't watch catch-up tv  and I have 'failed' recordings. Sometime I loose the internet a couple of times a day for several hours. Cisco Connect (Linksys software) often can't fix the problem of dropped connections, but the old-fashioned turn-it-off-and-on-again seems to do the trick. All of the equipment works some of the time!
Plusnet told me most emphatically that this is my problem and has nothing to do with them, and I have implemented Cisco's recommended changes to the router settings, but to no avail. Can anyone recommend the settings on the router I should be using? Maybe someone with superior technical knowledge and patience will have come across  the ideal combo of settings that works with Plusnet regular broadband and my wi-fi equipment - or will be able to steer me in the right direction.

Hi there ,
Sorry to hear about the issue, I find it hard to understand why the router would need any specific config to work fine with Youview, as I understand it the Humax boxes are ethernet only so I'd imagine the router should share the connection by default.
BTW I've just checked your connection logs and the broadband connection seems pretty stable which would point to it being a local issue:

Re: Linksys X3000, dLan powerline adapters - recommended settings?

@Teacake
Try a static ip for now if you can configure a static on the YouView box with google dns servers >>>> 8.8.8.8  8.8.4.4
if you use a standard setup dhcp ect, then use the below just to try a static ip.
192.168.1.25
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.254
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

It worked for me Smiley
good luck

Not Humax YouView, but the Humax receiver I have will not work with an "odd" netmask eg 255.255.255.224 (ie 32 addresses) and DHCP, though it does if static Roll_eyes A Sony Bluray unit is the same.
