Where do I go from here, I still am affected by the ongoing DNS problems but have noticed my line falls short on downloads speed on the wholesale test page
Should I be asking for anything to be fixed ?

Hi mixxy,
I've had a look at your connection and can see that the connection rate is a little lower than I would have anticipated. Are you completing Speed Tests via an Ethernet Cable?

I can do that
If thats still low should i go though all the steps like changing the name in the router to the BT Test one or could I do that from the manual PPOE connection

If you could try the PPPoE Test - that would be brilliant.
If the issue persists, I'd visit http://faults.plus.net so our Faults Team can take a look over things for you.

That's great, our Faults team will investigate further and should be back in touch with an update on the ticket in the next 48-72 hours.
