Line speed is wrong

I have checked at https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=stable_rate and it tells me my current line speed is '2500' although i am synced at 8128Kb in my router and have been for months.  My downloads are now being capped at around 270kb/s which is due to this 2500 sync speed, when i am used to getting 800+ kb/s.
Please look into this and sort it asap,
thanks.

Re: Line speed is wrong

What does a BT speedtest say your profile is? You can find out how to do this here.

Re: Line speed is wrong

It asks me for a user name and a domain name, no idea where i am supposed to get those, anyway, i dont really want to run speed tests for the next year, i have 8000 sync in my router and i have been downloading at 800kb/s+ for about 2 years, for this to change to 2500 line speed all of a sudden is annoying.

Re: Line speed is wrong

Dubb3d,
Unfortunately, you're going to have to run a Speedtest in order for the guys at Plusnet to be able to help you effectively.
Your username is the same as your Plusnet username, and the domain should be plusdsl.net

Re: Line speed is wrong

Ok, that's looking good - how long has the "line speed" at https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=stable_rate been 2500 for?
In theory it should update itself to 7000 at some point within the next 24 hours, as your BT Profile is also 7000....

Re: Line speed is wrong

Maybe the best part of a week now its been at 2500, I have only noticed now but i do remember having slow downloads in off peak hours around a week ago as well.
What makes you think that its going to magically go back to being 7.1 line speed by itself?Huh

Re: Line speed is wrong

You need to raise a ticket and explain PN have missed / not received the BT IP profile change and to get it fixed. Include the details of the BT speedtest.
BT IP profile changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate to PN so if it had only recently changes then you would need to wait 24 hours.

Re: Line speed is wrong

Hi,
I've manually updated the profile for you and updated your ticket. If you re-run the BT Speedtester you should see an improvement. Let us know if not though.
