Line speed dropped from 74Mb to 2Mb

I thought Id noticed my line speed had dropped considerably recently, but hadn't realised it was as bad as its got.
Is this normal after a month to drop from 74Mb to 2Mb? Not exactly what Id signed up for. Can someone look into this for me please?

Re: Line speed dropped from 74Mb to 2Mb

The same thing happened to me a few weeks back. Very similar down speed and ping numbers!
I connected direct to the BTOR modem and got my normal speeds! So, I did a reset of the router and "Normal Service was Resumed"!

Thanks Geoff
Just tried that. Speed did actually increase slightly  but still awful.
I did run the BT self test thing suggested and that comes back showing its not right and "need to contact your ISP".

Re: Line speed dropped from 74Mb to 2Mb

My impression from your previous posting is your are on FTTC not FTTP so you could have picked the wrong  BT test.Try it again, When the first test is complete, press Further Diagnostics, enter only your phone number and run the test.
