Line speed droped recently

Hi,
For the past however many years I've been with Plusnet, my broadband speed has been in the region of 1.9-2.0Mbps. The last few days I've found it rather sluggish and today I logged into my account to try and see if there was a problem with the service.
in the member centre it showed the following:

Estimated line speed:
    Not recorded (service activated before we introduced estimates).
Current line speed:
    1.2 Mb

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry, I was on the phone to Daniel from TechSupport. Router is now plugged in, online and connected into the test socket.
