Line fault fixed - still slow

See previous post - Sudden Slowdown.
Thanks to swift response from F9 and BT, a noisy line has now been fixed.
How long will it be before my connection speeds up again?
speedtester.bt.com is reporting
Assured Rate IP profile on your line is - 750 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 449 kbps
The BT engineer was getting speeds of 2.9 meg on his kit, and my router is reporting
DSL Status:  Up
      DSL Modulation Mode:  GDMT
      DSL Path Mode:  INTERLEAVED
      Downstream Rate:  6144 Kbps
      Upstream Rate:  448 Kbps
      Downstream Margin:  13 db
      Upstream Margin:  23 db
      Downstream Line Attenuation:  38
      Upstream Line Attenuation:  20
      Downstream Transmit Power:  0
      Upstream Transmit Power:  0
Does my profile have to be reset?

Re: Line fault fixed - still slow

It's likely that the speeds will increase naturally due to the nature of MaxDSL. As long as you sync at that same speed for 3 days it will increase to a profile of 5000 as per the table on this page.
