Limewire will not connect even for a P2P search.
So I checked their FAQ which advised setting my modem to listen on port 31450.
I have a BT Voyager and set under Port forwarding 31450 & IP 192.168.1.2 , but no change. 'Connect' under 'File' is greyed out and a wall shows in front of the world icon lower left.
What should I do ... or just forget about Limewire and use another P2P -- any suggestions? Thanks.
P.S. Plus Net should provide basic port forwarding instructions on its website (surely a common question for newbies) but support staff merely referred me to this forum.

There are so many different routers, modems and applications that providing comprehensive port-forwarding advice and keeping it up-to-date is impossible. PortForward.com provides an excellent source of help and information.
