Lift and shift performed but now not connecting

A lift and shift was carried out on my line at midday today and as of now I'm still unable to connect. I was told it could take from minutes to hours for the software to update and my connection to work. Is 5 hours typical or has something gone wrong?

If you still have a landline telephone service on your line you might want to try calling 17070 and listening to the number which is read out to you just to check you haven't been incorrectly connected.

What type of "lift and shift" was this?
Have you been moved to a different cabinet for engineering reasons, or have you moved home locally and taken your old telephone number to the new house? (Or, something else?).
