LINX connectivity problems or packets dropped as a result of traffic management

Hi
I note the problems with your sheffield based services which maybe causing the problem I'm experiencing (depending on where your traffic management boxes are)
I tend to leave outlook open so that I see any new mail that comes in, my domain and mail are hosted with 1and1 and every 10 minutes or so outlook returns the error that it cant find the server pop.1and1.co.uk
Is this as a result of traffic management? (obligitory two tracerts follow which look fine, traffic appears to be going over the LINX gateway as after leaving plus 1and1's router name mentions LINX)

Re: LINX connectivity problems or packets dropped as a result of traffic management

The ellacoya's are in London along with the edge routers, so they shouldn't be effected.  There was this Service Status[/url] last night.  Maybe it is a bit wider reaching than just transatlantic.

Re: LINX connectivity problems or packets dropped as a result of traffic management

The servers are in Germany as far as I know (wish there was an agreed naming convention for internet connected networking components which included an abbreviation of where they physically were as would make things a lot easier)
